I have my moments! My mother certainly has many stories to tell about it. Am very connected to family, really. My mother lost her father when she was my age, so it helped to understand that moment of her life and making this film was more important. She had a great relationship with my grandfather and told me that if it were not so, his death would have meant something much worse in her life. That really helped to understand the connection type of my character with Greg [Kinnear, who plays the father]. Whenever possible, I want people to look at their families and see what they have on hand. This is one of those things that we can never regard as eternal, after all, any day a tragedy can happen and everything is lost.
